It seems like this week has dragged on for months and it's only Thursday! Well, at least this time tomorrow, I'll be celebrating that we've finally arrived at the weekend. I just have to get through today.
Speaking of which, today is my first IEP meeting of the year. It's combined with an evaluation and I'm hoping and praying, praying and hoping that the new school psyche listened to me yesterday when I told her "less is more". My meeting is for an 11th grader. He's on an IEP for math so yesterday I gave him a math assessment and wouldn't you know that he scored in the 99th percentile? I mean, that's awesome but I had a math goal written so now I'm thinking I should tweak his goal. But...I'm not going to. Historically he's struggled with math and right now in his Algebra 2 class, they're reviewing so I'm anticipating he's going to start to need more assistance as the year goes on.
Surprisingly, yesterday I never really crashed after staying up so late on Tuesday night and then only getting about 4 1/2 hours of sleep. I even ended up cooking if you can believe it. Just fish and chips but still. Of course I woke up around 10:00 and had to pee. I felt like I'd been drugged when I was walking around. I was so discombobulated. I feel refreshed now though.
Dinner tonight: Well, since I'd told Jim yesterday that we would go out to eat and then we didn't, I think we'll go out tonight. I'm thinking Shooters because it's close. Hopefully Jim will be home relatively early and we can beat the dinner crowd.
Nothing else is really happening here. Except I keep smelling something chemical in the air. Jim thinks I'm crazy but he knows I have a really sensitive nose when it comes to these things and I'm always right. He just said to me, "I think you're just smelling a combination of things: Lysol, coffee...my butt." He's so stupid. It's not your stinky ass, Jim. It's a chemical smell...not Lysol!Okay - time to finish getting dressed and out of here. Happy Thursday. Later!
