Dad should be going home today...fingers crossed. I know he was worried about it and didn't think he was ready but they can't justify him staying in the hospital and it's either home or rehab. He is vehemently against rehab. However, he said to me that he doesn't want everything to fall on Becky. So, they're bringing in home health care a few days a week.
My concern is his spirits. He seems very down and anxious which I absolutely get. Mom was the same way. Mom is now on mood stabilizers and I can tell you it's done wonders. Maggie says the anxiety that gripped her at times about silly stuff is really no longer. I wonder if that's something they could do for dad?
In other news, the weather they thought we'd get (mostly south of the river) didn't come. Apparently it shifted, dipped and left us dry. I'm not mad because we weren't going to get anything significant and it would've just ended up a hassle.
I'm not sure what I'm going to make for dinner. I think I'll either do spaghetti with a salad or a creamy tortellini with mushrooms and spinach. I'll ask what Jimmy wants.
So the countdown is on for Jim going back to work and he still has yet to finish getting the basement together. He got rid of all the paint which was the biggest issue but there's still a ton of shit that needs to be thrown away. And of course, yesterday, he started a new project that wasn't on the list. One of his favorite go-to tasks: Cleaning up the side yard. (Like the garage it's an ongoing chore.) I will admit that what he did was good and helpful and it needed attention but this is just typical Jim: Abandon one job before it's completion to tackle another one. Oh well...at least he wasn't sitting on his ass or sleeping.
Man, I got ready quickly and am ahead of schedule here. My yoga routine was a little shorter than usual; not quite 30 minutes. Guess I'll wrap things up and finish getting ready.
Happy Tuesday! Later!
