Cullen arrived around 5:30 yesterday and before heading out for dinner we had a drink and chatted. Dinner was okay...the sushi was good but the pad Thai I got wasn't really pad Thai. It was okay but it wasn't what I was expecting and that was sort of annoying. Afterwards we came home, chatted a bit then watched the pilot episode of Succession. I'd not seen it before but of course heard how good it was. I really liked it and am happy to have something else to binge. Cullen had a Zoom meeting at 9:00 with his friend to do some tweaking on the screenplay they wrote together so that's when we headed up to bed. I played on my iPad for a few until finally calling it a night around 10:00.
My plans today are to finish this and go up to get on the elliptical. Once the sun comes up I'll walk the dogs and then shower and head North. I'd expect I'll be on the road by 8:30 or 9:00. Our plans are to go out to lunch with Mom and then come home and make French cakes until it's time to get Eva. We aren't doing anything tonight except making flatbread pizzas and hanging. Charlie has an award banquet thingy so he won't be around. We really don't have any plans for Saturday which is fine with me. I'm sure there will be football watching though.
So I was looking at FB this morning and came across a posting from my neighborhood page. The post was a clip from their Ring camera of three kids - boys/teens - out and about, sneaking around the neighbors car. When the motion detector turned the light over the garage on, they all scattered and ran. This shit has been happening more and more I'm noticing and it's kind of disturbing. A) Why are these kids out and about so late? I'm sure their parents have no idea B) Are they stealing? WTF! and C) One of these days, someone is going to get hurt. These kids are going to sneak up on the wrong house/car. I'm sure this has always been happening but because of Ring cameras, more and more people are getting it on camera and posting on social media. Why are kids so stupid? Ugh!
Okay, well, Jim's out the door so I'll head up and do my exercise. I think I'm on episode 7 of GBBO which makes me sad because the season is almost over and it's been a good one so far. {Sigh} I'll try not to let it bring me down.
Happy Friday! Happy weekend. Later!
