Good To Know

I finally found out who my sub will be at school and it's the woman I asked my principal about last week. I'm sure this is the way he wanted to go to begin with but had to go through all the rigmarole with the assistant superintendent. Ultimately, my sub will only have 2 weeks plus a couple days of the regular schedule of classes so that makes it a little less daunting. It's still a lot to plan, however. I have all my plans set but just need to update Google Classroom for my 6 classes. I then need to create a file for my sub so she has access to all my stuff and finally I'll print all the needed materials ahead of time for the kids in Government. I'll still be trying to grade in a timely manner and track the kids progress but I still anticipate a bit of a shit show...for me. But that's okay. I'll get through it and so will the kids.

Did I mention how much Jim is loving his chair? It might be a problem. I have to say, I'm enjoying it too. It's a really comfortable chair. Jim went to bed on Sunday night pretty early and I was finishing up a show so I cuddled up in it. I told him later that I might have to take it over. He wasn't having any of that.

It looks like Dad could get out of the rehab place any time. He's progressed really well. They just need to hear what the care team thinks. Fingers crossed it happens soon and he's ready and all goes well.

I'm in the midst of making all my lists for PIB this weekend. Jim and I will be there from Saturday until Tuesday. I'll make a Thanksgiving dinner for the two of us on Sunday and Trip and Susan are doing chili for Saturday. Beyond that I need to figure out dinner for Monday (I'm thinking sausage patties) and then breakfast and lunch beyond that. I do believe Topsy Turvy is still open so maybe we'll do lunch there one of those days. We'll see. I'm sure my car will be packed with all our groceries and puppies. I'll try to consolidate as much as possible but it's going to be tight.

Dinner tonight is going to be a creamy garlic chicken with mashers and green beans.

I have an IEP this morning at 9:00 but the parent can't make it. I'll meet with the student (she's a senior) and that should hopefully take all of about 5 minutes.

And that's about all I've got. Guess I should get a move on. Happy Tuesday. Later!
