Not that I wasn't worried before but it's ramped up significantly as we approach Jim's surgery. I woke up several times last night and never really fell fully back to sleep, I don't think after 2:00. That should make for a fun day. That being said, being at work will be a nice distraction over the next two days. There's not much I can do anyway and with me at work and Jim home, I can have him take care of the last minute details. He'll go to Aldi today as well as Home Depot and he needs to finish getting the outside lights up and set up with the timers. Other than that I have a feeling he'll be sleeping.
The weekend was fun. Friday after we put up Christmas and went to Shooters, we just hung out. Doug and Lauren came over for cards of course. Saturday Jim did more light work and I piddled around the house. We watched the OSU game and then headed out for dinner at Walt's with Trip, Susan and JJ. It was delicious.
After Ethel's (the name of the bar) we went to Little Miami for a beer and then across the street to Nation for lunch. From there we came home and then Doug and Lauren came over for cards. They left around 5:00 but Jim and I were still pretty full from lunch so I didn't cook last night. I took a bath, watched a little TV then hit the hay. It was a good day!
This week I'll only work today and tomorrow so it will be an easy week. The only thing I need to do at work is talk to my sub and give her some last instructions. No biggie.
Dinner tonight: I'll do a chicken coq au vin - a favorite recipe of mine. Tomorrow we're going to go out to dinner so I wanted to make something yummy and cozy tonight. Can't wait.
And that's all I've got. I guess I should get a move on. Happy Monday! This time next week I hope that either Jim is home or is getting ready to be discharged. Fingers crossed. Later!
