Speaking of sleep I slept pretty well last night. I woke up once at 10:30 to use the facilities and then I woke up at 4:08, which always pisses me off (so close to the alarm going off) but other than that, it was a solid night's sleep. Phew.
I went to my principal yesterday to give him a heads up about Jim's issues and the possibility of me missing some significant days to be there for him. He was totally cool and set my mind at ease. One less thing. Oh, and bonus, I didn't cry when I talked about it. It was a near thing but I held it together.
My creamy butternut squash pasta with prosciutto was good last night but it might be more trouble than it's worth. Not that it was a hard recipe but there were several steps...more than I like to deal with on a school night. I needed to use the butternut squash though so I'm glad I tried it.
No news on Dad yet. He's got his colonoscopy this morning and hopefully he'll be in the clear. Hopefully they'll get some answers. They did say, however, that when he is discharged, it will be necessary for him to go into a rehab to get stronger. He and Becky are looking into a place. I can assure you that while he's there he'll be visited often by all of us!
I have an IEP meeting this afternoon. It's no big deal and I'll be surprised if the mother even Zooms in. I'm pretty sure she didn't last year. I won't be mad if that's the case.
Dinner tonight: I don't have anything on the menu but I'm thinking chicken ranch burgers or something like that. I'll probably have to make a quick stop at the store on my way home.
The tree guys are coming today to take down two trees and clean up two that have some dead branches. They'll drop the two trees in front and cut them so I can split for firewood. I won't be able to get to that until the the weekend of the 20th though. Hopefully it won't be shitty weather. BTW - they're doing all that for $1350. That's a freaking deal! Fingers crossed it all goes down without a hitch.
Okay well that's all I've got. Time to get a move on. Happy Tuesday. Later!
