Stupid, Stupid Stupid

I'm a dummy
When I was at PIB, I borrowed a sweatshirt from Maggie (because I'm stupid and didn't bring the clothes I needed...that's one stupid). I really liked the sweatshirt because it was long, and cozy and fit great. She got it off Amazon so I went on and bought two. A black one like Maggie's and a dark gray one.

Fast forward to yesterday. I was in my closet, perusing my shelves trying to find something to wear and I spied a folded item which looked familiar. I pulled it out and DAMMIT!!! I'm so stupid! (#2) I already have that freaking sweatshirt! It arrived yesterday and so this morning I went on Amazon to start the return/refund. I will keep the gray one though. Can't wait to wear again. I love it when I find things in my closet that I forgot I had.

In Jim news, he finally managed to schedule his CT. It will be at 7:30 tomorrow morning and then his appointment with the surgeon is at 10:00. We will drive separately so that Jim can go to work after. Most likely he'll have an hour+ to kill between the two appointments so I told him we could go out to breakfast. Hopefully there will be a place nearby that's yummy. I don't want Waffle House or Dennys. Not that those aren't yummy but I'd rather a First Watch or something like that.

The sweatshirt
My IEP meeting yesterday was fine. The parent was a bit of a moron (there's your 3rd stupid) and I had to keep explaining things that had nothing to do with her daughter. When we started the meeting I asked (as I always do) if she was good with me going through the high points or things that had changed in the document. She agreed but then kept making me go back to explain, say, section 4. Or she'd say, "what does cognitive disability mean"? I explained and then said, "Why are you asking about that? Did you see something in paperwork that connected that word to your daughter?" She said, "No...I just saw that word in part 12 and wondered what it meant." Arg! Why are you wasting my time? If you see a section where I've marked "N/A" that means it ISN'T APPLICABLE TO YOUR DAUGHTER! Of course she probably doesn't know what "applicable" means.

I have another meeting today but it's for a senior who isn't going to qualify for services. We'll be writing him off sped services so I didn't write an IEP for him. We prepared the parent for this so hopefully nothing has changed and I'll be less one kid on my caseload. Knock on wood...I'll probably get a move it soon.

Dinner tonight: I'm making chicken stir fry wraps. Normally the wrap is lettuce wraps but I'm not sure I have lettuce. If I do, I'll use them otherwise, it's a good meal just over rice.

And that's all I've got. It's my last work day for the week. I will post, I think tomorrow but I get to sleep in a bit so don't freak out if I don't publish before 7:00.

Happy Wednesday! Later!
