Skyline, Yahtzee & Relaxing

I had bills to pay this morning so I don't have a lot of time to post.

The weekend was good and relaxing. Jim and I went down to Clifton on Saturday to see Susan in the hospital. First, however, we went to Skyline for lunch. The Ludlow Skyline is the best one in the city and it's hard to pass up a meal there when we're so close. I got my usual - small 3-Way and a cheese coney with mustard and onions and a root beer. Jim got a JUMBO 3-Way and a cheese coney. It was so yummy and we were so full from lunch that I ended up not making dinner.

Susan was good and in good spirits and looking forward to her surgery to relieve the pain. Of course Saturday night there was a bit of a setback and she's now scheduled to get a fusion rather than a microdisectomy. That will still happen today. Here's praying she has immediate relief and little pain as she recovers.

Yesterday Jim and I did our usual: Big breakfast, Skip-Bo (Jim finally won after 5 straight for me), dog walk, Shooters and then home to hang. It was so lovely out yesterday that we ended up hanging outside with the neighbors. I pulled out the Yahtzee game that Jim got me for my birthday and the ladies in the circle and Jim played a game. Jim won which was hilarious because he had no idea what he was doing and was a bit in his cups. After dinner last night I took a lovely bath and read my book and then went to bed.

The week should be pretty easy. The third quarter ends Friday (hard to believe the school year is almost over) and I have my last IEP tomorrow. It's a scholarship IEP and so easy since this kid doesn't even go to Kings and it's a Zoom meeting. Hopefully it will only take a few minutes. We'll see...you never know

And that's all I've got. I'm making burrito bowls for dinner tonight. Everything is already made I just need to cut up the tomatoes and lettuce. Easy.

K - happy Monday. Here's hoping the week flies by. Later!
