My excitement in having my last IEP of the year yesterday was short-lived. I decided to email the parents of the three that are due in early September. Two responded saying they'd "LOVE" to hold the meeting before the end of the year. I haven't heard from the third yet but I'd expect she'll want to meet as well. Thankfully these three IEPs are easy with only one goal a piece. I should be able to crank the IEPs out in a day and then not have to think about them again until the meetings. This will certainly ease up the start of the year next August.
The IEP meeting I had yesterday was fine. The parent, however, is pretty dense when it comes to Special Ed as her son wasn't found eligible for services until last March when he was in 8th grade. She's thinking about bringing him back from Moeller next year which bodes well for me if he does because he's a smart kid with only one goal.
So the Arbaugh clan needs to shape up and stop ending up in the hospital. Yesterday Becky sent a text saying that Cullen had been in the hospital since 3AM. His appendix was near to bursting. He ended up having surgery, all went well and should be going home today. With him and Susan, that's enough! Cut the shit Arbaughs!
Dinner last night, the mahi mahi I made from the recipe Maggie recommended? It was amazing! Jimmy loved it. It was so simple but easy and chock full of flavor. Tonight I'll be making spaghetti and a salad.Jim came home last night and said, "Hey! Can we go to Vincenzo's? Before Spring hits." Of course! It's one of my faves. And then I remembered hearing something about it in the news or on the Internet, maybe a change of ownership? Yep, it's now Porta Nera. I'm willing to try it out but the reviews aren't great. I think I'd rather go to an Italian restaurant I know is good which happens to be in my neighborhood: Rodi!
Ooh, the Murdaugh Murders Podcast - MMP - has an interview with Creighton Waters on today's episode. He was the lead prosecutor for the trial. I look forward to listening to that.
Okay well, time to get a move on. Happy Wednesday! So happy we're half way through to the weekend. Later!
