AARP Member

Jim came home yesterday after having a really bad day. Apparently, at his latest job, he's been using the wrong paint color. I guess there are two different whites he was supposed to be using and he got it mixed up...I'm not really sure because when he starts talking paint, I stop listening. But don't give me grief...I act like I'm listening. Anyway - we were standing in the kitchen and he was going into GREAT (not-so-great for me) detail about the dilemma and I was mindlessly going through the mail. I happened upon an AARP membership sign up addressed to Jim so I opened it. Inside it had an INCREDIBLE offer which included, at sign up, a cooler! I said to Jim, "You know what old man? I'm going to do you a solid because you've had such a bad day! I'm going to sign you up for AARP and get you this handy dandy cooler!" And I did because he deserves it. (And by the way, there are lots of discounts out there for members so there you go!)

Oh, and apparently Jim had this job on his mind all night and ended up getting out of bed before 4:00 and was out the door before 5:00. Poor guy. I know he feels bad but at least it can be fixed.

Today at work should be a nice and easy day. Like I've mentioned, I have one student in my room for the ACT and she's got standard time so I will be done with my day around 11:15. From there I'll have lunch and then maybe make a quick trip to Costco. I mean what else am I going to do?

Dinner tonight: I'm have this espresso spice stuff from Kroger which I'm going with some greek yogurt to make a marinade for some chicken. I've had this spice before with chicken on the grill and it's delicious. I'll probably serve it with some rice and broccoli.

Maggie - the bitch - has been sending me pics from Punta Cana. As I was walking in to school yesterday while it was SNOWING she sent me a "Good Morning" beach pic. Asshole. Then she sent me her view at lunch while I ate leftover risotto at my desk with a gaggle of annoying kids in front of me. My view didn't compare, certainly.

Okay well, with Jim out the door so early, I need to cut this short so I can make sure the boys get out again. Of course Scout didn't eat his breakfast because he's a turkey! K - happy Tuesday! Later!
