Saturday I had one thing on my agenda: Leaves. After breakfast and walking the dogs I got to work. It took about 2 hours to do both the front and back yard and after walking Scout and mowing, I ended up walking 8 miles on Saturday. Jim helped by blowing the leaves out of the beds and off the decks. I'll tell you after all that, I was wiped out! Thankfully I didn't plan on cooking and after a call to LaRosa's and a quick dinner I think I was in bed by 8:30.
Sunday after breakfast Jim and I hurried to walk the dogs and beat the rain, which we did. It actually didn't start raining until well into the afternoon after we'd returned from Shooters. We played some Skip-Bo, I made some soup, listened to music and watched as the rain brought down the rest of the leaves and covered up all the work I'd done Saturday. I expected that, however. I should only have to mow one more time which I'll probably do this week once things dry out. We shouldn't get more rain until next Sunday.
Oh, happy Halloween! It's going to be a rainy one...again. Seems every year that's the case. Not that I care but I do feel bad for the kids.
It's also Monday night football for the Bengals tonight. I'm sure I won't watch the game as I'm a loser but I'll be rooting for them in my sleep.
My week should be fairly easy...I have a planning meeting tomorrow at 7:15 and then a rescheduled transition meeting Wednesday and that's about it.
I'm bummed. One of the morning news anchors on channel 5 left - Colin Mayfield. I really liked him. Oh well, that's the nature Cincinnati...really just a stop over to a larger audience. He's actually going from one Queen City (Cincy) to another one (Charlotte). Good for him.
Okay well, time to get a move on. Dinner tonight: Mahi Mahi with rice and green beans. Something easy.
Happy Monday! Three more weeks until Thanksgiving Break. I think I can...I think I can...Later!
