Oh and because I know she'll give me guff if I don't give her props: Maggie renewed her license electronically a couple weeks ago and told me how easy it is. Happy? You good?
Jim starts his new job today and he's already out the door. The unfortunate part of this is he's currently working a job in Columbus. This sucks for his drive every day but he gets reimbursed ($100 a trip) and he can stay up there in the future (they provide "lodging"). He can't stay up there this week because the company had a fraudulent charge on their account and they had to freeze it. He's excited about this and I'm excited for him.
He went to Flannery to quit and take his equipment and the president of the company pulled him into the conference room to talk. I guess they wanted to know why he was leaving. To make a long story short, they had become more of a hassle than they were worth. With no sick days, no vacation and so many other downsides, he couldn't pass up the offer his former boss gave him.
Dinner tonight will be saucy honey/chili pork chops in the air fryer and probably brussel sprout and maybe some sweet potato gnocchi.
Nothing else is happening here and I need to get the boys up and outside one last time. Guess this is my job now. I'll try to leave a few minutes later than usual so the get as much time as they can but truthfully, all they really do all day is sleep.
Happy Wednesday! Later!
