Jim news: Jim had his blood drawn and all is well there. He talked to/saw a nurse yesterday and due to the rash, they've taken him off his meds for 3 weeks (normally it's 2 weeks but because we're headed to DR, they said to wait until we're back). I can't say I'm unhappy about him not being on his meds as we prepare for vacation because I really don't want to have something happen dealing with side effects when we're out of the country. And maybe he'll be feeling really good rather than completely fatigued like he's been. Not that it would matter because I don't plan on going on any crazy excursions. I'll be by the pool or on the beach sipping drinks for the majority of my time.
And I've made it to the Friday before exams! I can't tell you how happy that makes me. I'm so over teaching right now and trying to LEARN these kids! Today will be last minute reviews but nothing major. I do have a mandatory 7:00 AM meeting with the assistant superintendent (BORING). Probably has to do with the levy that didn't pass...we'll see.
Jim worked late last night and didn't get home until 10...poor guy. However, we have new windows going in in the basement so he's able to hang at home until around 1:00. From there, he'll go to Deerfield (close to home) and only have to put in about 4 hours. I think I'll have him bring take out home for dinner. Maybe he'll clean a little while he's just hanging around.
K - sorry for rubbing it in...I'm just so excited.
Well, I guess I'll go finish my toilette and head to work. Happy Friday! WOOT!!! I get to have a beer after work. Oh, speaking of which: I told you all before about my new fave beer (Taft's Christmas brew - Santa's Bribe)? Well, it's GONE from Kroger! Every time I've gone the last 3 visits it hasn't been stocked. Twice there was just an empty spot where it was supposed to be but yesterday they filled it with some swill! UGH! I hope they get more because I'm down to my last 18!
