I was just sitting here, eating my breakfast...Jim was in the recliner with the TV remote surfing channels. After about 60 seconds, I hear a laugh track and think, Huh...that doesn't sound like the news (which is what Jim normally tunes into in the morning). So I look up and Jim's watching The Facts of Life...and he's chuckling. Huh...that's new.
Yesterday was ROUGH! I was tired, yes, but the kids were WIPED OUT! First day back after an extended break is always hard but yesterday seemed to be the epitome. What's January 6th going to be like?
I woke up last night at 10:30 convinced there was an earthquake. There was this weird rumbling noise that actually vibrated the bed. I sat up and just sort of looked around and then all of a sudden it stopped. It didn't fade away but just STOPPED. I asked Jim about it this morning but he had no idea. The news said nothing but it was so weird. I've experienced a couple earthquakes before (just minor here in Ohio) and it felt like that. Oh well, I guess it was just a massive helicopter or something flying really low.
Another gray day here. Yesterday was nasty...just gray and rainy and yuck! Today is going to be like that too. Oh well.
Oh, I started my advent calendars for wine, beer and cheese. So far, here's what we have:
Day 1: Wine - Rose; Beer - German pilsner; Cheese - Red Leicester (like a cheddar)
Day 2: Wine - Sauvignon Blanc; Beer - Irish red; Cheese - Gouda
I haven't opened today's cache yet. And I've only tired the rose because I'm not drinking this week and the cheeses are such a small sample, Jim and I are going to save them up and make a tray to have as an app in a couple weeks.
And that's all I have for now. I need to get to work because I have to tweak my plans for LA today. Happy Tuesday. Later!
