My new word that I've been overusing for a while is "dummy". It's bad, I know and I need to stop using it. I've never used it on a student but Jimmy gets it a lot (sorry Jimmy). However, seems that the "dummy" on Tuesday was me. I'm a dummy for not insisting that Jim get his blood drawn at the doc visit to check his levels because of COURSE the day after his visit, he starts showing symptoms. He woke up with a rash on his chest (which is very common with these meds) and then complained that his eyes (around them) were yellowish. This is what concerns me the most because of the liver issues he's had in the past. I never really saw his eyes yesterday until he got home and I can say that the whites of his eyes kind of looked like they had a yellowish tinge...maybe? I'm not sure. And of COURSE the doc nor the NP called us back though they INSISTED that if messaged on Mychart, one of them would get RIGHT back to Jim ASAP. Not a good way to start this whole new doc shit! We'll see what happens today. I want Jim to call and ask for a blood draw to check out his liver levels. Hopefully he will follow through.

Got my hair done yesterday. I had called on Tuesday and there wasn't anything available until after the holidays (ugh!) but they put me on a cancellation list. I got a call at school that Kim had a 5:00 open. Woot! Of course that meant that the boys had to eat early and have very little time out of their cages before I had to leave again and of course Jim worked late. And then I didn't get home until 7:00 and Jim was bringing home Chipotle and we didn't eat until 7:30 and UGH! It was an OFF day all day!
Hopefully today will be better than yesterday (I was a bit of a stress ball with worrying about Jim) and I think I MAY have taken it out on the kids?! Sorry kids. I'll try to be nicer today. Just need to think about where I'll be in less than three weeks!
Okay well, I'm going to blow out my hair today so I need to get a move on. Happy Thursday! Ooh, tomorrow's Friday! I want to go see a movie this weekend (Knives Out!) but we'll see. K - Later!
