Bon Voyage!

Maggie, Charlie and Eva leave today for a 2 week excursion to Australia!!! (And a short trip to New Zealand.) Maggie has been a bit stressed about the trip - flying first to LA and from there a 15-hour plane ride to Australia - as you can imagine. I keep telling her this is a trip of a lifetime and the end of the trip is Kristyn and Clover! (And Dan...but she's seen him recently) and she'll sleep much of the time, hopefully. I will miss them a TON over Christmas but thankfully, I have a little trip of my own to keep my spirits up. Who knows when I'll talk to her what with the time change (Australia is 14 hours ahead) but at least I spoke to her yesterday and face timed with Eva. Have a great trip!!! Take lots of pictures! Post on FB and/or Instagram. (Maggie, be a better travel logger and DO THIS FOR ONCE!!!)

Which leads me to mention that it just doesn't feel like Christmas time. I'm sure part of this has to do with not having the Egberts scheduled to come in over the holiday and much of our normal traditions being different but it's more than that. Not that it's bad...I'm not bummed or anything...it's just things are different.

School went well yesterday. I worked with a few kids during the 1st period exam and then gave my history exam. A couple kids failed miserably but I bumped their exam grade to passing. As I've said before, exams are stupid. Today is 3rd bell exam (LA) and 4th which is my planning period but I'll have a couple kids coming to take their Geometry exam with me. I got a ton of shit done yesterday (managed to check a couple things off my list) and I'm well on my way to getting all my "jobs" done by end of day Friday.

Headed after school for some Botox! Woot! Can't wait to freeze this face a little bit! I haven't been able to look in the mirror for a couple weeks without cringing. Ugh!

And that's all I've got. Happy Tuesday! Almost there. Happy and safe travels Egberts. Let me know, somehow, when you land (messenger? cause you know Mom's going to want to know!) K -  Later!
