First Simon, Then Alvin!

My dogs are definitely ratters! However, they haven't been very successful in finding rats here in the 'burbs so it seems they've turned to chipmunks! I wish they'd figure out how to get rid of the moles instead but I have to say the chipmunks do damage as well. However, they're so cute, I really hope they've told all their friends about the blood thirsty mongrels that live here and they'll watch their backs from now on...hopefully Theodore isn't next.

So I stayed late at school yesterday and actually got something done! I managed to organize and upload a shit ton of "evidence" for my evaluation. Such a time waster! There are 7 standards for the Otes (Ohio teacher evaluation system) and for each standard you're supposed to have 3 or 4 pieces of evidence. And of course you know I'm an overachiever so I give much more than that. Yesterday I tried to organize all the shit I do every week and every day and then I figured out what evidence should go in each standard and then I had to convert things into a pdf and then I had to upload it into Ohio's system. I also finished my "growth plan" (another waste of my time) and "pinned off" on that.

Today I'll stay late and try and crank out a couple upcoming IEPs. It shouldn't be too hard because these are students I've had so everything I need is either in my head, or on the previous IEP. (Writing an IEP for a new student is much harder because you get IEPs from the junior high that suck; they aren't organized and they just cram info into the document because for some reason they think more is is better. I think they also believe that a bigger font makes for a better IEP. Not true! Idiots!)

I am starting to feel a little better about getting caught up but I won't feel great until my first observation is out of the way.

Can I just say I'm looking forward to cooler weather and winter but I am NOT looking forward to a muddier backyard than I already have. So annoying. I keep telling Jim that he needs to A) fertilize and B) lay some seed. Does he listen to me? No! He just cleans the garage again! He must "clean" that thing 10 times a year. Jerk!

K - I'm out. Time to get a move on and try and crank out some IEPs. Happy Wednesday! Ooh, only one more day of work after today! Double ooh: Next week is another 4-day work week because we have an in-service on Friday! Woot! Later!
