Last Day

Well it's the last day of break and I think I'm rejuvenated enough to get through the rest of the year (7 more weeks?). It was a good break having spent a little time at the Egberts getting me some Eva time in and a little time at home getting some Jim and puppy time as well. I can't say I'm happy to go back to school but at least I know that the end is near and I'm ready to head into summer.

Of course the weather is nowhere near warm and it's pissing me off! In fact, it snowed last night and I call bullshit on that! The dogs are definitely warm-weather pups and much prefer the sunshine and warmth that allows them to hang out on the deck for hours (literally) at a time. They've been so good, by the way. Even with their rambunctiousness they are fun and funny and a joy to watch. They've been running around this morning like little Tasmanian devils but the only cause terror with each other and their toys. They're pretty respectful of everything else. Scout will sometimes steal my slipper but he never chews on it, he just likes carrying it in his mouth.

Yesterday I did a major purge of my closet. I think I got rid of about 25 pairs of shoes and boots, and three bags crammed full of clothes. My closet now has a TON more room and I'm determined NOT to fill it with shit I don't need. My goal is to add to my wardrobe with quality things that I can mix and match with rather than a bunch of stuff that I get sick of quickly.

We also switched out the TV in our bedroom with the 48-inch flat screen we bought a couple years ago for watching in the driveway with the neighbors. I was sick of the huge chunky massive TV we had and bonus! Since it's a Smart TV, I can listen to Pandora, or Youtube or stream just about anything. Of course it wouldn't fit into the armoire so we had to take the top off but it declutters the bedroom. And I now need to mount it to the wall because I don't like how it looks when you walk into the room with the cords etc. It's always something, huh?

I had a dream last night that I went back to Northeaster and I was moving into my dorm and guess who was my next door dorm mate? Desi! I was so pissed because in my dream, I knew that his parents had somehow found out where I was going to be rooming and so they made sure that Desi would be near me so I could take care of him. Crazy.

And that's all I've got. Time to switch out the laundry and then take a bath. I'm reading Sisters First by the Bush twins and it's really good (of course I cry with every other page). K - Happy Monday! Later!
