Ah Sun!

I must say that although the weekend was chilly and Saturday was sort of gloomy, yesterday made up for it all with the sunshine. I laid in the sun for about an hour (with blanket and pillow) and just that little bit of vitamin D seems to have revived me and readied me for the week ahead. After I did that I moved to the driveway and read in the sunshine and listened to the kids in the neighborhood play and Jim work. Quite lovely.

Saturday was enjoyable as well. We got together with the neighbors for some cards and their kids kept popping in to play with the boys. It was sweet and the boys loved it. Boo, however, was worn out and eventually he excused himself to go upstairs and sacked out on the bed. Sometimes he just needs to be alone. Love that boy. Scout LOVES kids and revels in their attention. The more the better. And he's so gentle with them (so is Boo but he's a little more wary). Every time they would come in and then leave, he would go to the front window and stare longingly after them.

Oh, and Doug and Lauren got a new game to play: "Dos". From the makers of Uno, it is another card game but nothing like Uno. Quite complicated but fun. As we read the rules (3 or 4 times) I thought, "What high, dope-smoking individuals got together and thought this game up?!" Certainly recommended but make sure you're sober when you start to play (we were). Not for the drunk or stupid, for sure.

And the week should be good and easy. Originally I was going to be out of the classroom for first bell on Tuesday but alas, my kid who got "student of the year" was stripped of his title because apparently he watched a fight happen in the bathroom and did nothing...just stood there and watched. Stupid. I'm actually glad I won't have to miss class, however...silver lining.

Jim has his MRI and scan on Tuesday. Nervous. I'll update when I hear anything...good or bad.

And now it's time to get a move on. Happy Monday! It's going to be a gorgeous week! Later!
