Weird Sleep

I had planned on getting up this morning and exercising but I had the weirdest night of sleeping. I kept dreaming that I was falling asleep and then as I was just on the brink, I'd jerk awake. I wasn't actually doing this - just dreaming it. Similar to those dreams where you're trying to wake up. It caused me to feel like I didn't get much sleep last night so that I felt exhausted when my alarm went off and just didn't have it in me to get on the elliptical. Plus I'm still a bit sore from Sunday's fence building. I'll get on the machine this afternoon after work.

Speaking of which, I have a professional meeting scheduled today with my department. Usually I look forward to these (being out of the classroom etc.) but not today. First - I've been out of the classroom a ton lately and hate that I'll be out again two days in a row. However, the rest of the department haven't gotten a professional day of late so I need to just shut my mouth. Second - our sped coordinator wants to be there which is an UGH for me. She annoys me and I feel like she's trying to take too much control of our system. She's trying to fix what isn't broken. We'll see how it goes with her there today and hopefully she'll beat it sooner rather than later. Third - I think FW's balls left when former HH left. She's acting all scared and stupid when it comes to today. See usually when we have a prof day scheduled, we meet at Perkins or Bob Evans for breakfast. We eat (and discuss things over breakfast) then head over to central office to continue. Well, this time around, FW kept hemming and hawing saying she didn't think our current HH would approve (though she had run it by our sped coordinator who was fine with it). She came in to talk to me about something yesterday and she said she was going to go ask HH if this would be okay. I said, "Why is everyone suddenly treating us like 4-year-olds?!" Her response was that she hadn't even asked HH yet. I said, "Why do you need his approval? He knows we're meeting, where we'll be and Sped coord. is in the know...I think we're all adults and we can handle a "breakfast meeting"." Basically: FW - quit being a pu$$y!!! So she did and we're heading to Perkins. YUM! Love their pancakes.

Will definitely be getting on the elliptical after school today.

In union news - elections are Wednesday. I'll probably head to school at 7:00 to help before my 8:00 negotiation meeting. Should be interesting. Crossed fingers that the morons running for pres and vp don't win.

Lets see...what else? Nothing. Guess I'll get a move on and head out. Later!
