First off - Happy Birthday Becky! Hope you have a great day! If you're travelling (home from Minneapolis?) safe travels!
So, this is my final day off before heading back to the grind and the final push until Summer. What are my plans? Nothing much. Jim will be pulling a "double" - his regular job and then he's starting the side work that he picked up. It has to be complete by the weekend so he'll be busy, busy, busy this week. I won't cook today because we have leftovers coming out our ears. Of course I'll watch the Reds.
Dinner last night was delicious...if I do say so myself. The potatoes were delicious; the ham was yummy; the under the sea salad was spectacular. Good thing too because we'll be eating most of this for a while. I actually cut the ham up and froze most of if to be used in a soup sometime in the future. The rest will be made into a ham salad. It'll be good for lunches this week. I found a good recipe on Pinterest and will do that today.
Oh, I just finished an amazing book...the best I've read in a long while: The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. It's about a girl, Victoria, who has turned 18 and has been emancipated after a life of foster homes and group homes. She's basically thrust into the world with no one but the flowers that she's learned to use as a way to communicate. The book takes the reader through her past and the secrets there as well as the life she's starting to build for herself. So good...a must read!
And that's all I've got. I should probably get my breakfast ready and get a move on with walking Sami and getting off my ass and on the elliptical.
GO REDS!!!
