Well, today is a sad day for Maggie and all who have loved and enjoyed C.C. these past 18 years. Quickly, C.C. it seems, has decided that she's ready for heaven and all the rewards it has in store for her. For the past couple of years, she has held on and been quite a trooper regardless of her cloudy sight, deafness and frailty (though in reality, she's stronger than any dog I've ever met).Today at 1, Maggie and Charlie will be taking C.C. to the vet. Please think of them and especially Maggie on this most difficult day. Though I know it isn't unexpected that it has come to this, it's still difficult to face when you've had a sweet little being in your life for nearly half of it.
Thinking back, Maggie and I were discussing all the places that C.C. has lived. They include: Tennessee (born there); Cincinnati, Ohio; Providence, Rhode Island.; Atlanta, Georgia; New Hampshire; California and most recently Columbus Ohio. Not to mention that she's travelled cross-country twice. I'd say that she's had an adventurous and full life. And finally, I think, now that she knows her Mama is settled in her new house, she's ready for a new adventure. I know that when she gets to where she's going, she'll have all those other dogs up there to play with that we've all know and loved (Libby, Georgie, Mikey, Pancho, Phoebe, Matts, Hillary, Bonnie, Buddy, and so many more) and she'll quickly be the boss of them all.
Rest in peace C.C.!!! You were the best little 'Noops!!!
With her Zoe

Pierre was born in Tennessee too. I am really sorry Maggie, I know how much you love her, I know how hard today is going to be for you. I will definitely be thinking of you
Thank you. As hard as today is going to be and even harder to not have her physical being in my life, I have been so incredibly lucky to have such a loyal companion for over eighteen years she has brought me so much happiness an joy that I will always cherish. She will always be my noops.
Dear Maggie-I am right this minute crying for your loss - but your gain of all the love "click clack"gave you is immeasurable. I am buying you and sending along to you the best book I have every read about a dogs life told by the dog. The Art Of Racing in the Rain. All my love to you and Charlie. Kathleen
I will miss that D.D.
Muir,
Thanks for such a great send off thought for CC. We're going to miss her so much but we know she's happy now and won't be bumping into things anymore. Maggie's eyes are puffy but she's starting to feel better and its definately because of all of the great things people are saying to her about CC. She was an important part of our family and we'll keep her in our hearts.
Maggie-
I hope you are doing well. I never got to meet C.C., but I feel like I knew her from all of Muir's stories. What a cutie she was. I am going to give Charlie (my dog, not your husband) :-) a hug and hope that I have as many years with her as you had with C.C.
Thinking of you,
Lisa
Thanks Lisa. C.C. was an awesome pups and I miss her everyday, but I always smile when I think of her.
