Headed North

I'll be headed to Columbus today to stay with the Egbert pups and hang with Mom. I've done my yoga and will walk the dogs after this, then do a little elliptical and hopefully hit the road around 10:00. I'm not in a big hurry to get there so it's not a strict timeline. While there, my plan is just to chill and be there if Mom needs me. Anne's been there since Sunday and all has gone well. I'll be back Saturday before noon. Maggie et al will get home late Saturday night. (Their neighbors will let the dogs out until they get back.) I do plan to take my computer so I'll post while there...don't you worry your pretty little heads.

We had high winds yesterday. Around midday as I was lounging in my room after a bath, I heard a loud CRACK and the a crash. I ran to see what was what and saw a large bunch of dead limbs in the backyard just beyond the fence had come crashing down partially in my yard. Thankfully it only took out about 6 inches off the top of the fence in the corner. UGH! Later while I was in the kitchen doing dinner prep, I'd let the dogs out and of course they went running out to that corner to bark their heads off. When I went to wrangle them back in, I saw that my neighbors son was out there, behind their fence at the tree with a giant pair of clippers trying to clean up. I looked up and saw that the tree that had lost limbs still had a huge branch dangling. I called Cari, and told her what Emmit was doing. Of course she was unaware. I watched as she reamed him a new one. I know he was just trying to help but kid is so unaware sometimes. Use your brain kid! 

Not much beyond all that his happening. I won't be cooking over the next few days since I have a ton of leftovers still. I'll take those to Maggie's. I'll leave a bit for Jim as well.
