When the tech left yesterday I called Spectrum to cancel and of course they started trying to keep me as a customer. While I was talking to "Tia", she was looking at my account and she said, "Wow...you've been with Spectrum for 19 years." I said, "Yeah...I've been a loyal customer for too long while my pocketbook took shot after shot." When she asked how much I was going to be paying with Alta Fiber and I told her, of course she came back to meet that price. I told her that was all fine and good but A) I already had Fipotics installed and B) could she lock that price in for 3 years? Alta Fiber can. Of course she couldn't.
BTW - just a reminder that I no longer have a landline so if you need to get ahold of me, call my cell.
Yesterday, I mentioned that I was making no-peek beef tips. However, when I went to make the meal, I realized I didn't have the needed cream of mushroom soup in my pantry. I mean, what the heck?! That's a staple and I'm out!? This meant that I had to rethink my plans because the meal takes 3 hours to make. In the end, I sent Jim a text and said, "How about going out for dinner or getting takeout?" He was all in so we headed to Ramsey's down in Loveland. I really like that restaurant and the prices are really reasonable...even in this day and age.
So excited for the weekend because Jim and I are going out for his birthday on Saturday. We're headed to Jags Steakhouse. Neither of us have been there for dinner but I think I've been there for drinks a LONG time ago...not sure. Anyway - I'm excited. Of course Jim's working overtime on Saturday but he said he'll only work until noonish. I'll believe that when I see it.
Oh, btw - since yesterday's dinner got scratched, I'll make it tonight, which means I'll need to go to the store during my plan or after school. I might wait until after school since it's so cold right now. We'll see.
Jim has his PET scan today at 7:30. Fingers crossed please.
And that's all I've got. I need to get to school because I have a LOT of grading to do. Happy Thursday! Later!
