I enjoyed the half time show but I'll tell you it didn't even register while watching it that Rhianna was pregnant. Shows how observant I am.
So the weekend was good. Friday Jim and I went to Shooters after school/work and then came home and had dinner. Saturday we got up, walked the dogs and then I had to get ready and head out for a little brunch birthday celebration for Terri. There were 8 of us and we met downtown at Alcove, a Madtree Brewery restaurant. It was really good. I had the featured quiche and it was delicious. I love quiche. I haven't made it in a while and I need to.
I left there around 2 or so and was home by 3. Jim and I went out again to Shooters for dinner and then came home and watched TV. Sunday was our normal routine, big breakfast, walking the dogs, and Shooters again (we didn't get to play our game on Saturday) and then home to hang until game time. I pulled out a soup for dinner (Tuscan Chicken) and made a Soberdough loaf (corn bread) to go with.
My plans today: I've done my yoga and will get on the elliptical after I finish this. I'll also walk the dogs and give Jimmy a little break. It's going to be beautiful today so I might just sit outside and read. The digital book I have on loan is about to expire and it's a hard one to get so I want to finish it (Daisy Jones & the Six). I also need to put my menu together for the week and possibly go to the store.
I don't know what I'm going to make for dinner yet. Maybe a chicken dish...something yummy but I'm not sure what. Ooh, maybe coq au vin with chicken meatballs...that's always a good one. I'm also going to make a meal in the instant pot to take for lunch this week since I've got nothing in the fridge for leftovers. I also need to make some more broth. Boy I'm going to be busy today.
The week should now be especially easy since I took today off and Friday is an in-service. I'm not looking forward to that because it's always a waste of my time but I'll muddle through. It's a long weekend coming up and our annual February get together at Trip and Susan's. Can't wait!
Okay, time to get my morning exercise done so I can relax. Happy Monday! Later!
