Still So Proud

Though it wasn't the outcome I was hoping for last night, the season wasn't expected either and I'm just super proud of the team. No one thought the Bengals would get to the Super Bowl and to have made it and then played with such heart and soul it gives the city and fans such hope. I feel like we're on an upswing now and the potential for what they can achieve, with this momentum they could be unstoppable. And that's how I'm going to keep thinking. Like Joe Burrow said last night after the game, obviously this stings but we're going to celebrate what was accomplished. You can't focus too much on what was lost because then you aren't acknowledging everything that was achieved.

I'm off today and I don't have much planned except to clean, do the taxes and then figure out what will be on my menu this week. Jim was playing around with staying home today but he's rallied and will head off to work here in a bit. I'll also walk the dogs at some point but we got a pretty good covering of snow last night and the streets are covered.

What else? The weekend was really chill. Jim and I went out Saturday down to Loveland, had a beer at the local brewery (Narrow Path - they had a special beer I wanted to try - Brew Dey, an orange infused stout...it was YUMMY!) and then lunch at Ramsey's. We then went to Shooters for a little Mega Touch and from there, home. We just hung out together on Saturday night.

The week should be easy. We have an in-service on Friday - meetings in the morning and then I think we'll have self-directed time in the afternoon to get shit done.

Not much else to talk about. I think I'll go up and get my exercise on and then clean. Happy Monday! Oh, happy Valentine's Day...not something Jim and I celebrate. Later!
