The bad thing about this is I have an IEP meeting on Friday and we were just told yesterday that if we have a snow day, we aren't allowed to hold meetings. Now, I'm okay with this because my IEP isn't actually due until 2/8 and I have time to reschedule. But here's the shitty thing about that: We've always been told, "Don't hold an IEP on the due date (because it can't go in effect until the next day) and it will be out of compliance". We've also been told, "Don't hold an IEP on a Friday if the due date is Saturday because you can't start the IEP until the following Monday when school is in session." Now, I complied with all of that and now, suddenly we're being told - hold the IEPs at least a week before the due date. QUIT FUCKING CHANGING THE RULES ON US!!! Seriously! So fucking annoying.
Jim ended up working half his day yesterday on 2nd shift and he'll be on 2nd shift again today. He managed to get more than an 8 hour day in yesterday which is good since Monday he didn't get a full day in. Plus, I'm anticipating him NOT working tomorrow with the ice coming. Jim's fine driving in the snow but he won't drive in the ice and I won't let him. Especially with a new truck!
So, with Jim working 2nd shift, I'm not sure what I'll do for dinner. One of the ladies at work yesterday said, "Why don't we go out to eat Wednesday in downtown Loveland, anticipating that we'll be off on Thursday." I'm all for this...we'll see. If not, I might just make something delicious in the air fryer.
I started an Apple Health challenge with some ladies yesterday (my neighbor's doing). So far I'm in first place but they're all a bunch of young 30-somethings so I'm sure I'll slip. It's fun though and motivating.
Oh! Got my free, government Covid tests in the mail yesterday. Woot. I now have 5...hopefully I won't need to use them.
And that's about all I've got. I need to stop and get gas this morning so I'm going to head out early. Happy Wednesday! If you're in the path of the storm a' comin', batten down your hatches and snuggle up. Later!
