Much More Chipper

Yesterday I was just in a foul mood and for no real reason. I just wasn't feeling it and the kids were driving me crazy and I'm sick of Covid and just stupid people in general. But this morning, I woke up in a much more chipper mood. (More chipper? Chippier? Definitely more chipper. Although I like the word chippier.) Anyway I jumped out of bed when the alarm went off, ready to start this Friday and get the weekend started. To make it an even sweeter morning, Scout, after eating and before coming to cuddle on the couch with me before my routine started, ran upstairs to get a pair of socks he'd stashed and presented them to me, proud as a peacock. That boy loves him some socks! It's hilarious!

Here's something weird: I've mentioned that I've been watching the series "Maid" on Netflix. One of the characters, played by Andie MacDowell is an unmedicated bipolar nutcase. In a recent episode that I watched on Wednesday she was in a manic state and she's chattering away and at one point she starts talking about meatloaf and then she said, "Meatloaf...whatever happened to Meatloaf" and she starts singing "Paradise by the dashboard light" and I said out loud, "I'm pretty sure Meatloaf is dead." And then I see that he died yesterday!!! So...I killed Meatloaf!

School should be fairly uneventful today...I hope. Test in one class, reading our book in another and finishing notes in science...unless by then I've had it and then we'll watch a video...we'll see. It's a fasting day so hopefully I'll get through to 11:30ish without biting anyone's head off. Maybe that was my problem yesterday. Nah!

Speaking of fasting, I've noticed that since I started fasting, I haven't had headaches. I realized the other day that I'd not had to take any ibuprofen for a while. Isn't that weird. I wonder if it has anything to do with the intermittent fasting. I told Jim that theory and his comment was, "You know how I love a good theory!" I sure do!

Dinner last night, by the way (as I'm sure you're interested) was honey sirracha ground chicken protein bowls. It was quite delicious...Jim had two helpings. Dinner tonight will be grilled cheese (or as I like to say girled cheese) and soup. I've got chicken rice thawing. Yummy!

And that's about all I've got. I think I'll head to school early and hopefully get some IEP shit cranked out. No real plans this weekend except to make chili on Saturday and watch the Bengals game. I'm sure there will be a trip to Shooters in there, some wine drinking, and definitely some cuddles with my babies in front of the fireplace. It's a tough life...knock on wood.

Happy Friday! Happy weekend. Later!
