Can't Wait For 11:00!!!

I'm not terribly hungry now but I foresee that by 11:00, I'll be ready to eat one of my students! Today is certainly going to be a tough intermittent fasting day but I'll get through it with water and  a cup of joe (or two). 

I'm sure you all are sick of hearing about my Ninja grill/griddle/air fryer etc. but last night I made mahi mahi using the air fryer and it was amazing! Jim chowed! I'm telling you this thing is the best and I've probably already gotten my money's worth! 

Tonight for dinner I'll make homemade pizza (using naan bread) and a salad. Something easy since I've got a dentist appointment after school and won't be home until later. 

Oh, by the way, the Covid shit is hitting the fan at work. Teachers and kids are dropping like flies. Apparently it's (omicron) presenting as a cold and leaving teachers and kids quarantined for the week. The other issue is that many of these kids got vaxxed 6 months ago (the older ones) and so are now considered unvaxxed so have to quarantine longer than they would have. Ugh! I foresee a LOT of absences and wonder how the district is going to deal with this in the next two weeks. People just need to stay the fuck away from me! 

I'm currently tuned into my local news and a commercial came on for it talking about "tuning in for the coming winter storm". I'm all, "WHAT?!? We're supposed to get an INCH!" I get that it's going to probably mess with the roads and it's coming during the evening commute but is it really a "storm"? Why the eff are you trying to freak people out? I guess they want people to maybe stay off the roads as much as possible but we're not getting a foot, we're getting an inch. So ridiculous. 

And I guess that's all I've got. Time to finish getting ready. Happy Wednesday! Wish me luck today...wish my kids luck this morning because a hangry Mrs. Hanke is never pretty. Later!
