So here's something annoying that happened yesterday. And let me preface: Over the weekend, Jim realized he'd left his sunglasses in the Santa Fe which we had just traded in for his new truck. So on Sunday as we were out and about, we popped by McCluskey. Jim went in and came right back out and said, "Sold! Sold and delivered." Wow, that was fast. And interesting since I'd not gotten them the title yet. Here's the background on that: When we traded the car in, I didn't have the title (never got it after paying it off) so I called the bank, had them send a letter of lien release and then from there, all I had to do was go to the title office and get the title printed to take over to the dealership. I got the letter on Saturday and yesterday after school, I went to the title office and asked for my title. The clerk took my paperwork and said, "Well, the car was sold." I said, "Well, I talked to the guy at the dealership and he still needs the title. Can you print it off for me just in case?" She said, "There's no title in your name anymore to print." Ah...so I go home and email the finance guy who then tells me that I must've asked the wrong questions and I need to get the title. So I call the title office and another woman explains that with the "selling" of the car (basically from one dealership to another), the car is no longer in my name. I don't own the car. There's no title I'm entitled to. So I call the finance guy and tell him what I was told and he said, "Who told you the car was sold?" And I told him about going to get the sunglasses and also that the title clerk, when she pulled up the VIN number of the car, showed the car sold on 1/22/2022. At that point, he looked it up on his computer and said, "Oh, you're right. Hmm....that's weird." So I wasted my time but really it was no real skin off my nose. Interesting though.
Not much else is going on. Dinner tonight will be chicken of some sort with a veggie and a side. Nothing exciting.
K - well, time to get going. I think I have a meeting today before school. Happy Tuesday! Later!
