Hoping I Can Make It

It's been a LOOOOONG week and it won't be over until later tonight. I'm hoping I can make it to dinner tonight with Jim and his friend Les but I've had this niggling headache all night. All night I kept waking up and this headache just wouldn't go away. I didn't sleep really well either. Ugh! And here's the thing, as much as I like going out and haven't been to the Precinct in years, it just isn't my thing. I don't want a thick, juicy steak (overpriced even if Les is treating) and I'll most likely end up getting a salad and soup. I don't know...I feel like I'm trying to talk myself out of going and I need to rally. We'll see how the day goes.  

So I did manage to get a lot done yesterday at work. I finished the IEP I have coming up, I put together the two PowerPoints for my next science unit (still need to make the reviews and tests) and I made a to-do list for today. Speaking of which, it's going to be movie day in science and social studies and I'll read to the kids in LA so it should be a pretty chill day. I have a new problem child joining my 3rd bell LA class today. I hope it goes well. This is a very troubled kid who's been in and out of the district and in and out of the school for juveniles. I don't know her but hopefully her latest stint with the law has scared her into shaping up. We'll see. 

I had two virtual meetings scheduled last night but only one showed up, which is fine with me. The one that showed was quick, easy and uneventful. Not sure why the mother wanted to meet considering her kid has straight As and doesn't struggle at all. But hey, it's nice to see a parent that gives a shit. 

And that's about all I have the energy for. It's rainy and yucky here which is another reason to stay home and hunker down. Stop it Muir! Just suck it up! Come 4 o'clock, I'll be whistling a different tune. Ugh!
