Tennessee Bound

It's about 7:20 and within the hour, I'll be on the road headed to Mom's for the week. I didn't sleep great last night (Jim was not feeling well...he imbibed too much) and I kept waking up to check on him. I'm not tired, however, so that's good. I got up at my usual time (just before 5:00), had some coffee, woke up a bit, made Jim's breakfast and then got on the elliptical. I've eaten my breakfast and just need to pack up the car. And cuddle with the pups for a bit...enough to last us through until Friday. Man I'm going to miss those boys! I told Jim we'd have to facetime.

The weekend was good...lowkey. Jim got the rest of the lights up around the house. Not much else. Boring and just sort of trying to stay home as much as possible.

Jim's doing well with his radiation. He might have a little fatigue but I feel like he has a little more pep to his step of late because he hasn't been taking his meds while getting zapped. He said his feet don't hurt like they usually do so that's something. He'll have his last treatment Thursday and that will be a relief to have it done. Now we just have to hope it all worked like it should.

What else? How about a random fact? In Colorado, there is still an active volcano. It last erupted around the same time the pyramids in Egypt were built.

And that's about all I've got. Lots of teachers are out at school (6 without subs). I can't feel bad that I'm not there because IMO, they should have gone remote after Thanksgiving through December. They haven't even seen the T-giving surge yet. Dumb asses.

Well, I'd best go get some cuddles and get the car all packed. I'll post from Tennessee. Safe travels to me. Happy Monday to all of you and stay home as much as you can! Later!
