No Joke

Not that any of us really thought it was a joke (and by "us" I mean those who read this blog). Shit is serious and is little by little it's picking off loved ones. Another life gone way too soon. I didn't know him but lots of my friends did. Jeremy Bowman, owner of Jefferson Social on the Banks (formerly on Main Street) died after only 15 days of battling the virus. He was 43 years old! It's a story told way too often and it's exhausting and going nowhere. Yes, I know we have a vaccine but the rollout is turning out to be a disaster. First it was 100 million by the end of the year. Then it was cut to 90 million then 40 million. Now it's 20 million, hopefully by the end of JANUARY! Millions of vaccines sat in Pfizer's storerooms without being shipped because no one in the current administration told them where to ship them. (But there's time to golf!) Most cities don't have health departments much less health departments that have the cold storage facility needed for the vaccine. And then explain to me why the FUCK healthy politicians are getting vaccines before hospitals have received them! Um...my dad hasn't gotten his vaccine...he's 83 and Marco Fucking Rubio got his!? My step-father is in the hospital - has been there since early November - is obviously compromised and he hasn't gotten his vaccine but that dick Ted Cruz got his!?  Excuse me!? What a bunch of hypocrites! Everyone should be outraged at this sick display of  fucked-upness!

Sorry, not sorry. This virus shouldn't be political. It doesn't discriminate. And I'm sick of people turning safety measures (both social and medical) into things we need to fight about. Get over yourselves and lets end this thing.

Okay - I'm done. Time to get my yoga on and do some deep breathing. Plans today: Not much...my usual exercise routine. I thought about going to Aldi (I didn't go yesterday) but Jim wants chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight and I have all the ingredients so won't need to go out. Bonus! I'll do some work for school today (since I didn't do any yesterday...I had a headache) and cuddle with the pups. And fold laundry...maybe do some laundry. Work my Harry Potter puzzle. Read my book. Pretty exciting!

Happy Tuesday...I'm out...later! (Oh, stay safe!)
