Slushies! (With A Bump)

After a LONG week (don't know why it seemed so long) today will end with a visit in my neighborhood from Kona Ice. I've ordered curbside delivery between 4-6 and I'm excited to fix myself a slushy and add a little bump (vodka) to my treat! I think the rest of my neighbors have also ordered so we'll be able to enjoy in our driveway. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Yesterday was a success in getting the carpets nice and clean. It was a team effort with me vacuuming and then using my Rug Doctor with Jim following behind with a hot water sprayer and the shop vac to suck up the excess water. Boo was confused and not happy during the process but they both loved having their giant dog pillows on the bed while we cleaned. They spent most of the day there.

Today I have a retirement Google Meet and then a final staff meeting at 10:00. Beyond that, everything for school is complete. I emailed all my parents yesterday both a thank you email and then their progress reports. And of course I got emails from a couple slacking parents whose kids are failing a couple classes wanting to know how long they have to turn assignments in. Um...why don't you go back to the several emails I sent over the last weeks that explain this: Yesterday! Kids had until YESTERDAY to turn in assignments. If they did absolutely nothing, they could expect an F. Annoying.

So annoyed yesterday with my Apple watch! I did yoga and walked and my stupid watch wasn't syncing right so it didn't record that activity. Not that it matters because regardless, I did it and still closed my rings with other stuff but it was annoying. Won't make that mistake again! (I figured out how to fix that little glitch.)

Today: I've eaten breakfast and after my meetings will walk Scoutie. Then I'll do a little yoga and hopefully get a bike ride in since it's finally going to be relatively nice out today. After that, I plan on doing NOTHING! No school work. No cleaning. No cooking for that matter (leftovers tonight). I'm taking this as my first real day of summer break! Woot! (Doesn't really feel like it though).

Speaking of Scout, I think he was still feeling a bit puny last night. He got up around midnight and wanted out so Jim took him. Then at 3:30 he got up again and I took him. Jim thought he was playing games at 3:30 because he was looking out the window and wagging his tail and then licking our faces but he wags his tail even when he's in trouble. I told him (Scout) before bed that if he felt bad, he just needed to come tell us and I think he really understood that. Plus both times he went out, he didn't mess around...he went out and obviously took care of business...no barking or running around in the backyard like there was something to chase. He's fine this morning. Hopefully this will be the end of it...don't want to get him in the habit of thinking he can go out in the middle of the night. (Boo stayed in bed by the way. Boy likes his sleep!)

And that's all I've got. I'm going to make a cup of joe and then get ready for my meetings. Happy Friday! YAY! Happy official last day of school for me! Happy Memorial Day weekend! Stay healthy! Later!
