We still have a bit of rain - through the lun-chour - but after that we should dry out a bit. The flooding in our area (specifically where I live) is pretty bad. Down by the Little Miami River, it's crazy. My next door neighbor had a wheelbarrow sitting on their driveway that Jim had borrowed and returned yesterday and with all the rain we had, it was completely filled! Poor Scout, last night was DYING for a walk so before dinner, since it was only sprinkling, I took him for a 2-mile one. He was so happy! He'll definitely get a walk today, I'm just not sure when.
Plans today: I have final paperwork to finish (progress reports) but other than that, school is pretty much done for me. Grades are complete and posted. I have some emails to send but that's it for work. I'll probably do a big clean of the house since the rain is out of here but it's still gloomy. I found another series to watch (The Fall). I still need to finish The Last Dance too. And of course I'll cook dinner. I think I'll make a copycat Chick-Fil-A sandwich. We'll see how that goes.
The chairs and tables I ordered for my new deck should be here today! Can't wait! I won't put them together until the deck is built because where would I put them? Or maybe I will! They can be our driveway drinking chairs until construction is over. Which, by the way, should start next week. We're meeting with the guy on Saturday to talk details. Getting excited!
What else? Tomorrow is Eva's birthday!!! Who can believe she's going to be 9!? Time is flying! I wish I could be there to celebrate with her! Maggie sent a link to the family, however, so that we can all make a video (using VidHug) wishing her happy birthday. I'm sure she'll love seeing all our faces even if she can't see them in person.
I thought about going to Columbus but I'm still just a bit nervous. I want to wait to see how this "reopening" in Ohio goes for a bit. I think by the time June comes, I'll feel a bit more secure. The reality is that I'm not worried about me...I'm worried about Jim and no he wouldn't be going up with me but I fear bringing something back to him. He's still scared too. He goes back and forth in terms of getting back to some sort of normal. I'm hoping that by the time our PIB week comes, he'll be ready. Even if we go up and he hangs mostly at home, at least it will be a change of scenery.
And that's about all I've got. I'm going to go do some work and then walk the boy. Looks like the rain should be out of here in the next hour. Happy Wednesday! Stay healthy...later!
