I was kind of bummed on Saturday when the snow we got only amounted to about 2 inches (most). But, it allowed Jim and me to go to Shooters and it was still nice and cold to allow for a cozy fire and cuddling with the pups. And then I woke up on Sunday and BAM! WHAT!? There was about 6 inches coating the ground and it was still coming down! WOOT! All in all, we got about 8 inches but now that it's packed down and settled it looks like less but it satisfied me and my love of snow. The roads are reportedly fine now although they are saying to be careful for any re-freezing and possible frozen drizzle that may be falling but my trek to school should be fine.
Other than all that happening this weekend, we didn't do much. I made dinner Saturday that was yummy (skinny Fettuccine Alfredo chicken) and we watched some football and just hung out. Same with Sunday but we also managed to get a few games of euchre in with Doug and Lauren. Oh, and I made a pork tenderloin with lima beans and rice for dinner. Very low key and relaxing.
This week will be a short week with kids as we have an in-service on Friday. I've "chosen my own adventure" for most of it but will take one session (there are 4 throughout the day) to become more versed in our life insurance stuff. My sped department (some, not all) want to get together to talk about how we structure our guided interventions but I'll be skipping this. I have no desire to talk the same talk we've talked before where nothing gets figured out and people just talk over each other. There's no reason we have to structure all our GIs the same so this all seems a waste of time to me. I have other things I'd planned on doing anyway.
Teaching: same old same old with my science and history classes. In LA I'm introducing a new novel this week and we'll do some lead up activities to get ready. It's a holocaust book.
K - well, time to get a move on...need to dry my hair with how cold it is outside. Happy Monday!
OH!!! And Happy birthday to Susan - the best sister-in-law!!! Not sure if she'll read this but I hope you have an easy day! Love you!
K - later!
