Ah...The Stupidity Of Kids

I was getting ready this morning, in my bathroom with the TV on channel 5 when I heard a story about someone being caught for stealing cars in a local town. And then they said, "Seth Stockman is being held..." Uh oh...another former student of ours in jail. Sucks. What a moron...21 years old and quicly ruining his life. I believe his brother is in the high school now. Stupid kids.

So happy it's Friday. So happy to have no kids today. So happy to have time to work at my desk and only have one meeting (of my choice) that I have to go to. So happy to be treating myself to some Chipotle for lunch today (I make it so it's only about 5-7 points). So happy to have lost about 1.5 pounds! I'm closing in on my goal and so happy. So happy to have no plans this weekend so that I can hunker down again as the snow and subzero weather sets in on Saturday and Sunday.

BTW - the spell check suggested for for "Chipotle" is "chortle". I like that!

I made another really good meal last night: Lentil stuffed peppers (3 points). I've been a bit obsessed of late with lentils. They are really good, filling, packed with protein, cheap and a great substitute for ground beef. I'm learning how to cook with them...it's a learning curve but so far, every dish I've made has been a success. Next up: Lentil and Brussel Sprout skillet...I'll add that to the menu for the coming week. Tonight will be leftovers because we have a ton and I don't feel like cooking.

So what are my plans today: I'm going to be at my desk for most of the day working on my Biology class for next year. I've decided to start completely over with a different text from what I had started with earlier in the year. This text goes hand in hand with what is taught in the gen ed classes which is a must. It's a ton of work but has to be done.

And that's all I've got. Maggie is headed to New Orleans today so safe travels to you! Make sure to text me when you get there.

Happy Friday to all...later!
