Interesting Forecast

I'm interested to see how Thursday goes down with school. We're looking to have lows Wednesday into Thursday of -6 degrees and wind chills near -20. That's freaking COLD and last week as I was standing INSIDE greeting kids as they came in off the buses, I witnessed countless kids coming in without coats and saw one student come in with short sleeves. This was a day that was in the 20s. When I saw this kid later, I asked him, basically, "What the hell!?" He answered that when he left his house he didn't realize how cold it was. I said, "But when you stepped outside and FELT how cold it was, did it not cross your mind to turn around and GET A COAT!?" And I know these kids are high school students and for the most part they do what they want and you can't tell them anything but where are the parents to slap a coat on them!? Boggles the mind.

Anyway - not to jinx it but maybe we'll get a day off on Thursday!? My fingers and toes are crossed.

The weekend was good. We hung out for the most part. Made a couple trips to Shooters. Had dinner out on Saturday, just the two of us at Pacific Kitchen...so good! Enjoyed a fire all day yesterday and that's about it. Oh, Jim had a scan on Saturday but of course results haven't come in yet. I woke up last night and started stressing about that. Every bad thought you can imagine entered my head about the results. I know that if something happens, we'll deal with it and hope for the best and I would imagine that this is going to be the norm for me every time he has a scan but UGH! It's exhausting and nerve wracking waiting.

Jim's on 2nd shift for some or all of this week. I don't mind this every now and then because he then gets to go to Kroger, clean the house and the pups never have to get in their cages (minus the time he spends at the store) which makes exercise after school much easier for me. Today's jobs are to go to Kroger and Aldi. I'd love for him to clean today as well but if I know my husband and I think I do, he will procrastinate until the last minute and not get everything done. Oh well...he'll have at least tomorrow as well.

And that's all I've got. Pretty normal week for me at work. No meetings. We have a wonky schedule on Wednesday (Advisory for kids to get a bunch of info from guidance) and Friday (Winter pep rally). And hopefully a day off on Thursday!

Happy Monday! Later!
