Long Day

Tonight is Open House which means that I'll be at school until 8:00. I could come home because I don't have to be at school until 6:00 but since Jim can get home, I want to stay and crank out some IEPs (I have three in the next couple weeks). Hopefully I'll get a TON done and will be able to relax and get myself organized for all my classes. I'm not stressed about it, so that's good.

I keep thinking about my new bed! I just can't wait for it to get here!

Jim was a bad dad last night! It started to POUR last night around 8:00; Jim had gone upstairs and I was still watching TV. I got up to close the sliding glass door (so rain wouldn't get in) but before I did, I yelled up, "Are the boys up there with you?" He said they were so I closed the door and went back to the couch. Scout then came downstairs and went to the door and was looking out (but he didn't ring the bells). I thought for a minute, "Hmm...I wonder..." (thinking maybe Boo was out there and he was trying to tell me). But I went back to watching the tube. Then about 5 minutes later I heard barking and looked to see poor, soaked, looked-like-a-drowned-rat Boo at the door! JIM! Bad dad!!! I then had to run around the house chasing Boo, trying to dry him. This proved to be near impossible because while I was chasing him, Scout was chasing him and Boo was diving under any item he could find to rub his wet little face on! As you can imagine, I was exhausted after our little relay race and hit the sack!

And that's about all I've got. There isn't too much exciting going on here. I look forward to tonight/tomorrow when the weather should flip to near-fall like temps. Lows in the 50s!

Oh, this weekend is log splitting weekend. I'll be nice and sore on Monday but at least I'll have a full load of firewood for the coming winter. Hmm...I wonder what we have in store...I'll have to check the almanac.

K - time to finish getting ready and head out. Happy Tuesday. Oh, and bonus! The advisory schedule we have for the next four days? (Which provides for an hour in the middle of the morning for students to go to an assigned "homeroom".) I don't have an advisory group so basically, I have an hour to work at my desk! Woot!

K - I'm out...later!
