Yesterday the girls and I in 3rd bell were talking about pop (soda) and root beer and then root beer floats and one of my girls said, "I've never had a one of those." We all said, "WHAT!?!?!" And so, after school I went to Kroger and got the goods to treat the kids. Oh, and then one of the girls later in the evening (from my study hall) emailed me and asked me if I was serious and if so she could bring some stuff. Isn't that sweet? Of course I told her no, that it was all taken care of and she emailed back: "Okay, freakin' awesome!"
So I'm sitting here trying to type this but I have a sweet Scout on my lap who only wants to cuddle and kiss. Not only does he make it hard for me to want to leave the house but he makes it hard to do the little things like post. When he looks at me I just want to crawl into a chair with him on my lap and snuggle. Same with Boo but he's all snuggled up with Jimmy right now.
So Jim had a pretty good day yesterday. Finally got a haircut and doesn't look like such a hippie anymore. Ha! He got labs drawn too but I don't know the results of those yet. I'll find out later this morning.
What else? Nada. It's Friday and I'm excited about that. Jim wants to go out for a steak dinner this weekend at Ruth Chris's. BTW - he's had steak 2 times already since he's been out...dude likes steak. I think he needs to lay off that much protein with his liver issues but he's not on a restriction...that I'm aware of.
Okay well, no plans for the weekend except possibly dinner on Saturday. I'll make a nice pot roast on Sunday and watch the first half, at least, of the game. I'm excited that I won't have to drive back and forth to Christ! I should probably knock on some wood there just to be safe.
