Yesterday was a good day for Jim. He seems to be improving. They've been giving him lasix, they started the steroids back up (which means his glucose is up and down), he's still on the lactulose (for the ammonia) and an antibiotic. His numbers are still going down but the doc doesn't seem to be ready to talk discharge. I think after last time, he doesn't want Jim to take another step back.
I took Jim lunch yesterday (Which Wich) and will again today (I think he'll want Taco Casa). His sister took him Mecklenburg's for dinner which was very nice for him...not just the food but the company. He called afterward raving that he could finally taste again. I didn't really know that is was an issue for him but I'm glad he enjoyed his brats and sauerkraut.
Richard had his surgery yesterday and all went well. The doctor was very happy with the procedure and if everything goes as they anticipate, he'll be able to go home Friday. Woot!
And that's about all I've got for now. I need to do some cleaning and go to the store this morning so I best get a move on. Happy Thursday. A warm up is coming which the puppies will be happy about. Later!
