Why Are Kids So Dumb?

Obviously the answer to that question is in the question. UGH! I have a student who, to be nice, has a brain cell challenge (in that she doesn't have many). She's in a class that shouldn't be difficult but because of her challenge, she's barely getting by. She asked me and Lisa yesterday if it would be okay to bring a test down to our room 7th period to have it read to her. OF COURSE! I was so happy when she asked me because I've been telling her all quarter to do this (so that she wouldn't have to retake the damn things after failing them miserably). So of course Lisa and I both got wrapped up with other kids 7th period and, huh! Guess who didn't come down to take her test? I got an email from the teacher saying that she failed horribly (even using study guides and notes). Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Went to Costco yesterday. When I was hungry. Big mistake. I got so many yummy things. I got a chicken cordon blue that was delicious (we had it last night for dinner). The great thing about it was, it had two chicken breasts in the package and one was nice and little - perfect for little ol' me. I also got some stuffed peppers which we'll have tonight. They also had this amazing 6-layer dip that I've been wanting to get. And they had these individual chicken salad with almonds and cranberries - perfect for lunch. Of course I had to get more sangria! I was good about not getting any desserts though. All in all it was a very successful trip and I did it in under $200! Woot!

Jim was up and out of here by 5:20! He's hoping that he'll be able to take a half day tomorrow. Every time he does this, however, he ends up working a full (and getting overtime).

I had a crazy dream last night about my 7th/8th grade best friend. Weird. I wonder how she's doing.

What else? Nothing. We're headed for a major warm up this weekend - near 80 on Saturday. I'm fine with that as long as I don't have to turn on the air/heat. I got my latest bill with Duke and it dropped by $22! I use budget billing so that should stay the same for the next three months. More money to save and go toward new family room furniture and truck for Jimmy.

Okay well, I guess I should get a move on. Happy Friday Eve! Later!
