Who Cooks For You

Lately, in the mornings, as I sit eating breakfast, I mute the TV and listen instead to the hoot hoot hooting of a sweet owl just outside the door. Well, maybe it isn't JUST outside the door but it's certainly right up in the trees. I love owls and love hearing their sweet call. Let me amend that: I love owls that HOOT! I do NOT love the sound of a screech owl. We've had one of those in our backyard before and it is quite disturbing. And loud.

I watch the debate last night and felt as sick as I thought I would listening to Trump try and defend his words and actions. The web is saying that he performed much better than anyone hoped (in his own "camp") but I thought his continual interruptions and temper tantrums for how he was "treated" were ridiculous, predictable and overshadowed anything he could have said. I thought he did what he always does and that's to attack and bully and threaten. A friend on facebook put it best when she said: Dictatorships use their power to imprison their political opponents...this is thee antithesis of our country. The man makes my skin crawl and I can't wait until this election is over. I'm hoping after November 8th Donald Trump will not be in my line of sight for a long time to come.

This week will be a short one for me as we leave for PIB early Friday morning. I can't wait! I need some time away!

And that's all I've got. Time to finish my routine and get a move on. Happy Monday. I hope this week goes quickly! Later!
