Forty years ago today marks the anniversary of the largest outbreak of tornadoes ever in the tristate area. There were two F-5 tornadoes that touched down in Sayler Park and Xenia. I was three and don't remember this. We were still on Kingman Drive so this wasn't the tornado that damaged my Aunt Sister's house and demolished most of her street - that was scary. Today we are under a SLIGHT RISK for strong storms (tomorrow too). I guess no matter where you are in the country, there's some sort of natural disaster that can threaten you at some point: Tornado, earthquake, hurricane, flooding, etc. I wonder if somewhere in the world, there's a place where no nature-inspired disasters occur. Cause...I'd like to move there. Ugh! Hoping the pups are well today and no thing occurs in our area.
School today should suck (nice attitude, huh?). We're on a stupid block schedule thing because they're testing AGAIN. So sick of testing these poor kids. And it isn't even a state mandated test. And they didn't even explain to these kids what or why they're being tested. It's so stupid. Apparently when I was absent Tuesday (it was the first day of testing), there were dozens and dozens of issues. Kids who couldn't get on computers, computers that would load the program because they didn't have Java. Good planning people. Of course the admin in charge of this is a MAJOR slacker so of course this is all effed up. Oh well...go with the flow Muir.
Okay well now that I'm done bitching I guess I'll go finish getting ready. Grocery shopping after school today. I like going on Thursdays after school. It means that Friday I can come right home and start relaxing for the weekend and I don't have to fight the weekend crowd at Kroger. Only took me 6 years or so to figure this out. Of course once summer is here, I'll move my grocery day back to Monday morning.
K - I'm out. Later! Ooh, it's almost Friday!
