Stupid Southern Weather

So obviously, I'm off school due to temps.  They called it last night around 7:00 which was nice to know before I got into bed and had to set my alarm.  Our governor is also trying to get the Ohio Department of Education to pass a one time extension of snow days for Ohio schools...crossed fingers.  It's a money saver since extending the school year costs a shitload to school districts so I expect we'll probably get about 3 more days.

In Maggie news: I got an email this morning that their flight into Charlotte got cancelled. The south is getting major ice today. UGH!  However, Charlie managed to get their flight changed to fly into Philly, leaving, I think, only a few minutes after their original flight.  I'm not sure when they'll get into Columbus.  Originally they were supposed to get in tonight around 9:30 and hopefully they can get something close to that.  UGH!


Now, how cute is my sweet love bucket in her new seahorse shirt...with her hair in a ponytail!?

In weather news, it is -4° currently with wind chills of -12°.  Bubba, of course, is unaffected by this cold and just wants to sit outside.  I won't let him stay out for long though.

My plans today: Staying warm.  I'll watch a couple episodes of Breaking Bad (Jim watched two without me last night so I could watch today).  We're near to the end of the series...probably about 7 more until the finale.  As I've said before - if you haven't watched, it's worth it...so good. 

Oh, and here's something interesting:  Got my Duke energy bill today.  And it went DOWN another $25.  That's the lowest it's been in about 3 years.  We're on even billing so that should be the cost for the next three months and with this crazy weather it may go up again but it just goes to show that my windows are paying off! Woot!  I'm just thankful we have no gas in my house because we'd be effed!  Major shortages!

And that's all I've got.  I just woke up and Jim's getting ready to head out so I'll whip up a quick breakfast for him.  Happy Tuesday to all.  I wonder if this winter will ever give us a normal week at school.  K - later!
