It's So Cold...

...I saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pockets!  Ha...sorry for my lawyer friends out there (none of them read this, however).  It is 5 degrees out there.  Yowza.  Not sure Sami will get her walk today...20 degrees with wind chills of about 15 aren't conducive for my tootsies! Sami's going to be PISSED!  She didn't get walked yesterday either.  Poor baby.

Time to break out my humidifier.  My nose (I hate my nose) is killing me from the dryness. I woke up and got a bloody nose and now every few seconds it starts tickling and itching uncontrollably, making me sneeze like an asshole. 

Got my new contacts...well, I only got a pair because they didn't have any with my prescription in stock.  My eyes have gotten worse...both of them but the upside is that both eyeballs now have the same prescription.  That makes things much easier.  I was always having to remember which eye got which 'tact. I got glasses too but they won't be ready for about a week or so.  Jim will go get his eyes checked next week, and then we'll go get him glasses and I'm thinking of getting another pair to have on hand.  We'll see.  It was pretty funny when I got home yesterday and turned on the TV to find that TA DA!!!  I could SEE!!!  I mean actually READ the guide on the TV from the kitchen.  I haven't been able to do that for a while without squinting.  I still don't need readers and that's good.

Today's plans:  I'll make a menu for the week, go grocery shopping. I need to get to Costco but I may or may not do that.  I should have done it yesterday...I don't know what I was thinking being right next door after my eye appointment.  However, with the weather and the fact that the temps are going to be CRAZY cold next week, I'm not going to want to go after school.  What a pickle, huh?

All that being said, whatever I do, I'll come home and chill...maybe watch another batch of Breaking Bad in front of a crackling fire.  I filled the log box yesterday (the one in the Florida room!  Not MY log box...God people, get your minds out of the gutter!) Speaking of Breaking Bad, I'm in the midst of season 4...I had to watch without Jim last night because he fell asleep on the couch at about 7:00...lazy ass!  There's one season after this...so good...glad I'm finally getting to watch.  Which all of you should do if you haven't.  Library, Netflix...seriously good!

Okay and that's about all I've got.  Best make my menu and do some candy crushing.  Later!  What day is it?  Oh, TGIF!
