So there I am yesterday afternoon...I've walked Sami (although she only went about a 1/2 mile...she turns back when it's too hot), I've run/walked on the treadmill and all that was left were abs and arms. I was trying out some new ab work using the ball. I had gone through about 5 different sets and was on the 6th. This required me to get in a push up or plank position and rest my feet on the top of the ball. Well, the ball was too inflated and I was having a hard time getting my balance. Suddenly, my feet rolled off, I went tumbling, my right foot slammed into my Pilates machine and pain shot up my leg. I knew right away I didn't break anything because I could move my toes but the pain was excruciating. When I finally had the nerve to look at my foot, I saw that my big toe's toenail was crack in half (horizontally) and it was gushing blood from under the nail. Holy shizz!!! Unbelievably, it doesn't hurt that bad now. I get a dull ache every now and then and if I step too hard on my right foot I get a little pain but other than that...not so bad. I think I was really lucky. I could have easily broken my ankle being so stupid. I'll have to find a better way, huh?
School News: I have this parent who is a bit of a spaz. Her son, a sophomore, is scheduled to have back surgery right after school lets out. He has thus had to have two pre-op appointments for preparation. One was yesterday. Unfortunately, he missed 2 quizzes and a test yesterday. Mom was freaking out about what he should be studying so I said, "he can take the history quiz with me Wednesday, it's short and then he can start science. Thursday he can take the English quiz." So I get an email back and she says, "Okay, so tonight he'll study science and math." Then I get another email about a 1/2 hour later (mind you these were sent yesterday around 4PM when I was gone from school and didn't see these until this morning) saying, "OMG! Doesn't he have a social studies quiz to take too?!" Lady, I think you need a glass of wine! Or a Valium!
Okay so that's about all I've got. Kids are still driving me crazy! They've basically stopped working and I've basically stopped caring. UGH!
K - best head out. Later!
