Prepare Yourselves

Here's a funny little anecdote (and don't forget I said to prepare yourself).

So, Jim and I went to Shooter's yesterday.  Kind of our weekly winter routine.  A couple of beers.  A little MegaTouch.  You know:  Break up the humdrum Sunday.  Anyway - our bartender is usually the same guy on Sundays and has been there for about two or three years.  Well, there we are yesterday - enjoying ourselves...I'm having a Bud Light Lime (it's either that, a Guinness or a Yuengling) and Jim is enjoying a Yuengling (he either gets that or a Sam Adams).  So our bartender, Steve, comes over and says, "Hey guys?  Am I crazy or did you used to never drink beer?" Obviously he was speaking to Jim.  He then continues and says, "Actually, didn't you used to not really drink anything at all and if you did you'd have like a Long Island Iced Tea without something.  Was it tequila?  Cause you were allergic or didn't like it or something."  Jim answered, "No you're right.  And yes, I don't like tequila."  And Steve walked away.  And I turned to Jim and said, "Hey Jim?  Didn't you used to be a pussy!?"  Jim laughed so hard he cried.  It was funny.  And then I said,  "Well, either you used to be a pussy or I've driven you to drink."

I did warn you. Sorry about the "p" word.  I don't mind it so much anymore.  Kind of has a ring to it, don't you think?

And that's about all I've got.  I watched about an hour of the Grammy's (though I taped it and will watch more later...I want to see Adele's performance).  Got to see Bruce perform as well as Kelly Clarkson (with some hilljack country dude who I couldn't hear thank God because Kelly was belting it out), Rhianna and Coldplay (Chris Martin missed a few notes but whatev...still loved it) and best of all - Bruno Mars.  Holy shit that guy is good.  I had never seen him much less seen him perform.  He's a young - but much cuter - James Brown.  Wow!

Well - I best head out.  They're saying we have a shot for some snow tonight...COME ON DELAY (at least - I'd hope for more but I don't want to jinx anything).  K - I'm out...later!
