My Mom Called Me Lame!!!

How rude is that?! I know I haven't posted since Friday but name calling!? We've resorted to name calling? Hmm!

So, the reason I haven't posted in a couple days is because I've been run ragged first by my husband (and not in the good way!) and then by my 'rents on Raeburn! I came home Friday from school - exhausted and ready to chill on the deck with my hubby with a cold limey beer. My husband, however, is - lets all say it together - a douche bag!!! Reason: You all know that we took 2 ginormous trees down two weeks ago. Well, we were going to rent a log splitter last weekend to get all the wood cut and stacked but with the massive downpour that we had and how soggy the back yard was, we decided to put it off...until (here's where Jim effed up) next weekend (the weekend of the 4th). See, I knew we wouldn't be able to crank it out this weekend because we were otherwise committed at Raeburn for pool furniture cleaning. How happy was I then, when I walked in the house and outside to see Jim with the log splitter and a giant pile of split wood? Not happy! And!!! the fact that he hadn't even put a dent in the wood!? UGH!!! Why does that man never listen to me? I tried to explain to him how frustrating it is to be at school with a bunch of dumb ass teenagers who don't listen to a word I say and then have to come home to a dumb ass middleager who acts the same way! UGH!!! Oh, and then he's like "You don't have to help." Me: "Yeah, right! Like I'm going to sit there and sit a beer with that loud ass machine screaming away while YOU!!! sweat your ass off?"

In the end, I helped as much as I could. We haven't even finished the first tree and had to take the splitter back yesterday. So, of course, we'll rent it again next weekend. That should get the job done. As you can see though we've got a long road ahead of us.

As for Raeburn, that went well yesterday. Jim and I got there at around noon. Maggie and Charlie were already there. Trip arrived last and with all of us (Charlie on the power washer and the rest of us scrubbing down the furniture) we were finished by 3 and ready for J.J.'s arrival and lots of playtime in teh pool with him.

Oh, something funny too - Trip tried to tell Maggie and I that J Bird doesn't like ice cream. Please! That boy was staring at his bowl of Graeters (chocolate chip) like he had finally met the love of his life! He wouldn't even share with his daddy at first and he never let him have any of his chips. A boy after my own heart. Doesn't like ice cream! Trip's a douche!

K - I'm headed out to haul a bit of wood and then lay in the sun...read...listen to music...relax. Later!
