National Duran Duran Appreciation Day!

My God I loved this band as a kid. And of course I loved the weirdest one of the bunch: Nick Rhodes - the douche in the jumpsuit! Rio - their 2nd album I think - was my favorite. It's still a good listen too. I wouldn't mind getting that on CD. Mom's favorite song on that album was "Lonely in your nightmare" but she thought it was "If your lonely in your nightgown" (let me in). She's got a dirty mind.

By the way, it's S'mores Day too! I'll have to celebrate that later!

So, today's plans are to clean the house, grocery shop, start preparing for PIB (leaving Thursday) and then when Jim gets home, he's bringing the carpet cleaner. I'll be cleaning carpets tonight. They are in dire need. I think that this year Jim and I will fore go the exchange of X-mas presents and get new carpet instead. That's my plan.

Maggie was supposed to come down to Cincy today but she isn't now. I was going to try and meet up with her but alas, it isn't happening. She's just lucky that we'll see each other this weekend...otherwise she'd be in trouble.

Okay well, I'm going to go start my day. Oh, and by the way, Maggie is a doodly doo!
